Greetings from Taiwan

I am writing this post from Taichung, Taiwan! This might just be a short post, since I'm writing on my phone. (I did actually bring my laptop, since I have had to proof Wayfare, but we've had such a full Sunday I might not be able to make a full post—especially when I'm jetlagged.)

My brother had to move to Taiwan last year—thanks, Trump voters 🙄—so we came to visit. We visited back in 2002, and it's been fun to be back.

My dad planned our trip to coincide with the Chinese New Year season. We missed the day itself, but it's been fun to see all the decorations up: red lanterns, gold ingots, wealth deities, and of course horses for the Year of the Horse.

So far we have visited Taiwanese stores (including Costco), a lantern festival, a jade market, mountains with the most unusual hike I have ever done, and night market.

I will do a more complete post another time!
